The PARLEC C40-30DC5 is a DA300 series double angle collet chuck designed for precision CNC milling and machining center applications. Built on a CAT40 taper shank, this chuck accepts double angle collets in the DA300 series with a capacity range of 0.0313 to 0.25 inches, covering a wide spread of small-diameter cutting tools. Projection measures 5.15 inches from the spindle face, and the chuck holds a TIR of 0.0004 inches for repeatable, accurate tool runout. Through-coolant capability routes coolant directly through the spindle to the cutting zone. Machining centers running high-speed operations with small-diameter end mills, reamers, or drills will see consistent performance from this toolholder. Weight is 3 pounds.
This chuck is suited for production and job-shop CNC machining environments where DA300 double angle collets are the preferred workholding standard. The CAT40 taper shank interfaces directly with CAT40-compatible spindles found on a wide range of vertical and horizontal machining centers. The through-coolant design supports high-pressure coolant delivery, making this chuck appropriate for deep-cavity milling, long-reach operations, and materials that generate significant heat at the cutting edge. Installation and tool changes are performed by qualified CNC setup technicians or machinists.
Designed for use with DA300 series double angle collets on CAT40-spindle CNC machining centers. Accepts collets sized for tool shanks from 0.0313 to 0.25 inches.
Installation and removal of this toolholder should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician following the machine tool manufacturer's spindle interface procedures. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing toolholders. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate retention knob or drawbar specification for the host machine. Verify TIR with a dial test indicator after seating the chuck to confirm proper spindle contact before commencing a cut.
