The PARLEC C40-15SM2 is a CAT40 taper shank shell mill holder designed for milling operations on CNC machining centers. It accepts shell mill cutters in the 4 to 5 inch cutting diameter range and features a 1.5 inch pilot diameter for positive cutter engagement. The holder projects 2.4 inches from flange to nose end and carries a nose diameter of 3.75 inches. With a TIR of 0.0002 inches and a balance rating of 30,000 RPM, it is built for high-speed, precision facing and milling applications. Machinists and CNC operators install this holder as part of the tool assembly on CAT40-compatible spindles.

This shell mill holder is suited for horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers equipped with a CAT40 spindle interface. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and high-feed milling where a rigid, accurate tool connection is required. The 3/4-16 lock screw thread secures the cutter to the holder body. Lock screw 15LS is specified for this holder. No through-coolant provision is included, so coolant delivery must be handled externally or through the machine spindle face.
