The PARKER XVVP500P-6 is a standard manual ball valve designed for shutoff and flow control in piping systems across HVAC, plumbing, and industrial trade applications. Built with a brass body and brass trim, it accepts 3/8 inch female NPT connections on both ends. The valve is rated for a maximum working pressure of 600 psi and operates across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 400 degrees F. Reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is used for both the seat and seal materials, providing chemical resistance and a reliable low-friction shutoff. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code or International Plumbing Code where relevant. Shut off the upstream supply and depressurize the line fully before removing an existing valve or threading in this unit. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the male NPT fittings mating to this valve. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
