The PARKER XVP502SS-8 is a standard manual ball valve designed for industrial and mechanical piping systems requiring reliable shutoff in corrosive or high-pressure service. Built with a 316 stainless steel body and trim, this full-port valve delivers unrestricted flow through a 1/2-inch pipe path with female NPT connections on both ends. It operates via a padlock-capable handle, allowing flow isolation and lockout/tagout compliance where required. The seat and seal material is reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), rated for a maximum working pressure of 600 psi. Weighing 0.67 pounds, the two-piece body construction keeps maintenance straightforward in tight installations.
This valve is suited for liquid and gas piping applications in commercial, industrial, and process environments where corrosion resistance and pressure integrity are priorities. The 316 SS material grade meets NACE MR-01-75 standards, making it appropriate for sour-service or chemically aggressive media. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors typically install this valve in process lines, chemical feed systems, HVAC chilled-water circuits, and other applications where stainless construction is specified. The FNPT x FNPT end connections allow direct threaded installation into standard pipe systems without adapters.
Designed as a direct-threaded replacement or new-install manual ball valve for 1/2-inch FNPT piping systems requiring a full-port, 316 stainless steel shutoff valve rated to 600 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and piping codes. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any valve. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service media to FNPT connections; do not overtighten threaded joints. If used in a lockout/tagout program, verify the padlock hasp is engaged and tagged before performing downstream service work.
