The PARKER XVP502SS-24 is a 316 stainless steel manual ball valve rated for full-port flow through a 1-1/2 inch FNPT x FNPT end connection. Built for demanding industrial and mechanical service, it delivers a maximum working pressure of 1500 psi across a temperature range starting at 0 degrees F. The two-piece body is constructed entirely of 316 stainless steel, with reinforced PTFE seats and seals that resist chemical attack and temperature cycling. A stainless steel padlock-style handle allows the valve to be locked in the open or closed position, an important feature in regulated or hazardous service environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial mechanical contractors install this valve in process piping, chemical handling, and fluid control systems where corrosion resistance and positive shutoff are required.
This valve is suited to residential and commercial mechanical systems as well as light industrial process lines where a full-port shutoff is needed without significant pressure drop. The full-port bore maintains line velocity and reduces turbulence, making it appropriate for systems where flow efficiency is critical. FNPT x FNPT threading makes it compatible with standard threaded pipe systems. Compliance with NACE MR-01-75 qualifies it for use in environments with hydrogen sulfide or other corrosive media, broadening its application to oil and gas, chemical processing, and corrosive water treatment service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install full-port ball valve for 1-1/2 inch threaded pipe systems requiring FNPT x FNPT connection and NACE MR-01-75 compliance.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical codes including ASME B31.3 for process piping or local plumbing code requirements. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing any existing valve or making threaded connections. Apply thread sealant rated for the service fluid and pressure on male threads only, keeping the first thread clear. Verify handle orientation and flow direction after installation and before returning the system to service.
