The PARKER XV520P-12 is a standard manual ball valve designed for fluid shutoff and flow control in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping systems. It features a 3/4-inch FNPT x FNPT end connection and a brass body with brass trim, making it well suited for water, oil, and compatible gas service lines. A reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seat and seal package provides reliable shutoff performance and resistance to chemical degradation over extended service life. The lever handle allows for fast quarter-turn operation to open or close flow. At a maximum working pressure of 650 psi, this valve handles demanding service conditions found in commercial and light industrial applications. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the primary installers.
The XV520P-12 fits into 3/4-inch female NPT threaded piping systems in residential and commercial settings. Typical install scenarios include hydronic heating lines, domestic water distribution, compressed air branch lines, and equipment isolation points. The FNPT x FNPT configuration threads directly onto male-threaded pipe ends or fittings without additional adapters in standard NPT installations. Its compact two-piece brass body suits tight mechanical room installations where clearance is limited.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements where gas service is involved. Shut off system pressure and drain or depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any valve. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT pipe threads before threading in the valve body. Do not over-torque the valve body, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive force.
