The PARKER XV509P-32 is a standard 2-piece manual ball valve designed for 2-inch soldered connections in plumbing and mechanical systems. Constructed with a brass body and brass trim, this valve delivers a maximum working pressure of 600 psi, making it suitable for demanding service conditions. The lever handle, fabricated from steel, allows for quick quarter-turn shutoff with a clear open or closed position. Reinforced PTFE seals and seat material provide chemical resistance and long service life under repeated cycling. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve during new construction and retrofit work on water supply, HVAC hydronic, and light industrial piping systems.
The XV509P-32 is intended for use in residential and light commercial applications where a full-port, manually operated shutoff or isolation valve is required on 2-inch copper pipe. Its soldered end connections make it a direct fit for standard sweat-joint copper piping installations. The 2-piece body design simplifies field servicing when the line needs to be isolated and the valve inspected or replaced without disturbing adjacent fittings. This valve is a practical choice for hydronic heating loops, domestic water mains, and similar wet-service piping runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 2-inch copper sweat-joint piping systems in residential and commercial plumbing and hydronic applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and drain the line before cutting in or removing any valve. Allow sweat joints to cool completely before applying pressure to the system. Do not use open flame near flammable materials during the soldering process, and follow all applicable fire-safety requirements for torch work on active job sites.
