The PARKER XV509P-12 is a standard manual ball valve designed for inline shutoff and flow-control service in plumbing and mechanical piping systems. Built with a brass body and brass trim, it connects via soldered x soldered end connections on 3/4-inch pipe. The lever handle allows fast quarter-turn operation for positive open and close. A reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seat and seal package provides chemical resistance and a reliable, low-torque seal up to 600 psi working pressure. This valve is a standard two-piece design suited for installation by licensed plumbers and pipefitters in residential and light commercial applications.
The XV509P-12 is well suited for hydronic heating systems, domestic water distribution, and mechanical room piping where a compact, high-pressure-rated soldered ball valve is required. The 3/4-inch pipe size fits typical branch and main lines in residential construction and small commercial projects. The soldered end connections require standard copper tubing preparation and make this valve appropriate wherever a brazed or sweat joint is the specified connection method.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 3/4-inch copper pipe systems using soldered end connections in plumbing and hydronic applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) or local adopted plumbing code. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting pipe or applying heat. Use standard sweat-soldering technique with lead-free solder where potable water service is involved, and allow all joints to cool fully before restoring pressure. Do not exceed the rated working pressure of 600 psi.
