The PARKER XV501SS-8 is a standard manual ball valve designed for demanding fluid and gas control applications in industrial, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Built with a 316 stainless steel body and trim, this 2-piece valve offers a full port design that minimizes pressure drop across the valve. It handles working pressures up to 2000 psi and operates across a temperature range starting at 0 degrees F. A lever handle provides fast quarter-turn shutoff, making it practical for both routine service and emergency isolation tasks. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or mechanical contractors.
This valve is suited for residential and commercial applications where corrosion resistance and high-pressure performance are required. The full port configuration allows unrestricted flow matching the pipe bore, reducing turbulence and energy loss. The MNPT x FNPT end connections make it straightforward to thread into existing pipe assemblies without adapters in most standard configurations. Reinforced PTFE seats and seals provide chemical compatibility with a broad range of media including water, steam, oils, and many industrial fluids. It is commonly installed in process piping, hydronic systems, compressed air lines, and chemical distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install manual ball valve for 1/2 inch threaded pipe systems requiring full port, high-pressure shutoff service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and IFGC or IPC requirements where relevant. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing an existing valve or installing this unit. Use thread sealant tape or compound rated for the media being controlled and apply it to the male threads only. Do not overtighten connections, as stainless steel threads can gall; use appropriate pipe wrenches and follow standard threaded joint practices.
