Constructed from acetate cotton wound around a stainless steel core, it delivers a 1 micron absolute rating, making it effective for capturing fine particulate matter in demanding service conditions. The filter measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 30 inches in length, fitting standard filter housings common in commercial and industrial plumbing systems. Rated to a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, this cartridge handles hot-water and process-water circuits without deforming or shedding. Licensed plumbers and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This cartridge filter suits residential, commercial, and light industrial water filtration systems where consistent fine sediment removal is required. Its string-wound construction provides graduated density from the outer layer to the core, improving dirt-holding capacity compared to melt-blown alternatives. It is well suited to pre-filtration ahead of softeners, RO membranes, and process equipment, as well as point-of-entry whole-building filtration setups where high flow rates and long service intervals are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 2.5-inch inside-diameter, 30-inch plumbing filter housings used in commercial and industrial water treatment systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician in accordance with local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve all system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or damage and replace it if necessary before seating the new cartridge. Do not exceed the housing manufacturer's rated working pressure or the cartridge's 250 degrees F temperature limit.
