The PARKER WC39R10 is a string-wound plumbing cartridge filter designed to remove sediment and particulate matter from water lines in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Rated at 1 micron, it captures fine particulate down to 1 micron in size, making it well suited for pre-filtration and inline water treatment applications. The filter measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 10 inches in length, fitting standard housing configurations. It is constructed from acetate cotton wound media over a tinned steel core and is rated for service up to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers of this cartridge.
The WC39R10 is used in residential potable water systems, light commercial plumbing installations, and industrial process water lines where fine sediment removal is required. It is appropriate for cold and hot water service up to the maximum rated temperature. The string-wound construction provides graduated density filtration, with tighter filtration at the core and coarser filtration at the outer layers, which extends service life by capturing larger particles before they reach the inner filter zone. Typical installations include whole-house filter systems, point-of-entry housings, and inline pre-filtration ahead of water softeners or reverse osmosis systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard 10-inch string-wound cartridge filter housings accepting a 2.5 inch outside diameter cartridge.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Follow local plumbing codes, including applicable IPC requirements, when installing or servicing inline filtration components. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of the filter cartridge during operation.
