The PARKER WC19R10A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. Built from acetate cotton wound over a polypropylene plastic core, it provides mechanical filtration at a 10 micron rating, capturing sediment, rust, sand, and other particulate from potable and process water lines. The cartridge measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 10 inches in length, fitting standard single-cartridge filter housings. It is installed by licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians in residential and light commercial systems where consistent sediment removal is required.
This cartridge is suited for residential whole-house sediment filtration, commercial pre-filtration ahead of water softeners or reverse osmosis systems, and general-purpose inline filtration on cold and mildly warm water lines. The 10 micron rating targets coarse to medium sediment loads. Maximum working temperature is rated at 120 degrees F, making it appropriate for cold and ambient-temperature water service. String-wound construction provides graduated density filtration, with tighter windings toward the core for improved dirt-holding capacity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 10 inch single-cartridge filter housings accepting a 2.5 inch outside diameter string-wound element.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the filter housing fully before removing the spent cartridge. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or damage and replace if needed before seating the new cartridge. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F.
