The PARKER WC15R30A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing filtration systems requiring reliable sediment removal at a 20 micron rating. Constructed from acetate cotton wound over a polypropylene plastic core, this filter delivers consistent depth filtration across its 30-inch length. At 2.5 inches outside diameter, it fits standard housing sizes used in commercial and industrial water treatment lines. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers. The acetate cotton construction handles a maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F, making it suitable for cold- and warm-water supply applications where sediment control is critical.
This filter is used in string-wound depth filtration applications where moderate sediment loading is expected. Typical installations include pre-filtration stages in water treatment systems, process water lines, and commercial plumbing filtration assemblies. The 30-inch length suits high-flow housings that require extended filter surface area to extend service intervals between changeouts. It is not intended for hot water or steam service given the 120-degree F temperature ceiling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for string-wound depth filter cartridges in standard plumbing filter housings accepting 2.5-inch OD, 30-inch cartridges.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve pressure from the filter housing before removing the spent cartridge. Inspect the housing o-ring and sump for cracks or debris before seating the new cartridge. Comply with applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements for filtration equipment installation and service intervals.
