The PARKER WC15R10A is a string-wound plumbing cartridge filter designed to remove sediment and particulate matter from potable water and general plumbing systems. Constructed with an acetate cotton wound medium over a polypropylene plastic core, it delivers a 20 micron filtration rating suitable for pre-filtration and whole-house sediment reduction applications. The cartridge measures 10 inches in length with a 2.5 inch outside diameter and carries a maximum working temperature rating of 120 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians install this filter in standard 10-inch housing assemblies as part of point-of-entry or point-of-use filtration setups.
This filter is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where sediment control is required ahead of water heaters, softeners, reverse osmosis units, or other sensitive downstream equipment. The string-wound construction provides depth filtration, trapping particulates throughout the filter media rather than only at the surface, which extends service life between changeouts compared to surface-only media. It fits standard 10-inch filter housings commonly found in whole-house and under-sink filter installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 10-inch plumbing filter housings used in residential and light commercial sediment filtration applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or damage and replace if needed before seating the new cartridge. Do not exceed the 120 degrees F temperature rating or the housing manufacturer's specified pressure rating during operation.
