The PARKER WC11R30S is a string-wound plumbing cartridge filter designed for liquid filtration in commercial and industrial water treatment systems. Built with an acetate cotton media wound over a stainless steel core, this filter delivers 50 micron nominal filtration across its full 30 inch length. The 2.5 inch outside diameter fits standard filter housings used in process water, potable water prefiltration, and general plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the typical installers. With a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, this cartridge handles hot-water service where many standard polypropylene wound filters cannot be used.
This cartridge filter is suited for residential and light commercial water treatment installations requiring sediment reduction at 50 micron. It is appropriate for prefiltration ahead of softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and other downstream treatment equipment. The acetate cotton media and stainless steel core make it a durable choice in higher-temperature process lines and boiler feed applications where thermal stability is required. Install it in any standard 2.5 inch OD cartridge housing of appropriate length.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service cartridge for standard 2.5 inch OD cartridge filter housings accepting 30 inch string-wound elements.
Installation of cartridge filters is typically performed by a licensed plumber or water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure completely before opening the filter housing. Inspect housing o-rings and replace if worn before seating the new cartridge. Follow applicable IPC guidelines and the housing manufacturer's torque recommendations when reassembling the sump.
