The PARKER W68PLP-4-6 is a push-to-connect male connector fitting designed for tube-to-male NPT pneumatic and fluid line connections. Constructed from nickel-plated brass, it accepts 1/4 inch OD tubing on each tube port and threads into a 3/8 inch NPTF male port. The fitting is rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The push-to-connect mechanism uses a black, flame-resistant button that meets UL94 V-0 requirements, and the o-ring seal is nitrile. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pneumatic system installers use this fitting for fast, tool-free tube terminations at threaded ports.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial applications where copper, nylon, or polyethylene tubing must terminate at a male NPT port without soldering or compression tooling. Typical install scenarios include condensate drain systems, pneumatic control lines, and fluid transfer circuits where a quick, reliable tube-to-thread transition is required. The NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying solely on sealant tape.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect replacement connector for pneumatic and fluid control systems using 1/4 inch OD tubing with 3/8 inch NPTF male threaded ports.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, or pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize and de-energize the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and deburred before insertion into the push-to-connect port to achieve a proper seal. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads per applicable plumbing or pneumatic codes, and verify the system holds pressure at the rated working pressure before returning to service.
