The PARKER W68PLP-12M-8R is a straight push-to-connect male connector designed for tube-to-male tube connections in compressed air and fluid distribution systems. It accepts a 12mm outside diameter tube on the push-in end and terminates in a BSPT male thread on the other. Constructed from nickel-plated brass with a silicone-free grease lubricant, it carries a maximum working pressure of 300 psi and operates across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The silver body and yellow release button are typical of Parker push-to-connect fittings and allow tool-free tube insertion and controlled tube release. Licensed tradespeople and industrial maintenance technicians install this fitting in pneumatic and fluid line assemblies.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic systems, compressed air distribution lines, and fluid handling circuits where a reliable push-to-connect interface to a BSPT male-threaded port is required. The 12mm OD tube size and BSPT thread type make it common in metric-dimensioned plumbing and pneumatic equipment. It meets the UL94 V-0 flame resistance standard and uses silicone-free grease, which is important in environments where silicone contamination is a concern, such as spray finishing or certain instrumentation applications.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic and fluid systems using 12mm OD tubing and BSPT male-threaded ports. Confirm thread type and tube OD before installation, as BSPT is not interchangeable with NPT.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified industrial maintenance personnel. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely with no burrs before inserting into the fitting body, as a ragged cut can compromise the internal seal. BSPT threads require thread sealant tape or compound for a leak-free connection and are not compatible with NPT ports.
