The PARKER W172PLP-8M-4R is a push-to-connect swivel male branch tee fitting designed for tube-to-tube-to-male pneumatic and fluid line connections. Constructed from nickel-plated brass, it accepts 8mm outside diameter tubing on both tube ports and terminates with a BSPT male thread on the branch port. The fitting is rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. A color-coded yellow release button identifies the push-to-connect collet for quick tube removal. The silicone-free grease and UL94 V-0 flame resistance compliance make this fitting suitable for sensitive instrumentation and electronics environments. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid system installers work with this fitting in compressed air, pneumatic control, and process fluid applications.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial pneumatic systems, compressed air distribution, and fluid control circuits where a tee branch connection between two tube runs and a male-threaded port is required. The swivel male branch allows the fitting to be oriented during installation without twisting the connected tubing. The BSPT thread is commonly found in international equipment and machinery. It is installed wherever a push-to-connect branch tee is needed in an 8mm tube circuit with a male threaded branch outlet.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect branch tee replacement for pneumatic and fluid control systems using 8mm OD tubing and a BSPT male threaded branch port rated to 300 psi.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or instrumentation technicians. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and that the outside diameter is free of burrs or scratches before inserting into the collet. Verify that the BSPT thread type is compatible with the mating port before installation, as BSPT is not interchangeable with NPT.
