The PARKER W172PLP-4-6 is a push-to-connect male branch tee tube fitting constructed from nickel-plated brass. It provides a three-way connection joining two push-to-connect tube ports with a male NPTF threaded branch outlet. The fitting accepts 1/4 inch OD tubing on the inline ports and threads into a 3/8 inch NPTF female port on the mating component. Rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and designed for service from 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F, it suits pneumatic and fluid control lines in HVAC, refrigeration, and light industrial applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors typically install this fitting.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial HVAC systems, pneumatic control circuits, and plumbing assemblies where a compact tee connection is needed without flare or compression tooling. The push-to-connect design allows fast, tool-free tube insertion on the tube ports while the NPTF thread creates a pressure-tight mechanical seal at the branch. The nitrile O-ring construction handles common refrigerants, air, and water-based fluids within the rated temperature and pressure range. The black button is made from flame-resistant material compliant with UL94 V-0.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for pneumatic and fluid control systems using 1/4 inch OD tubing with a 3/8 inch NPTF threaded port.
A licensed HVAC technician or plumber should depressurize and isolate the system before installing or removing this fitting. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and deburred before insertion into the push-to-connect ports to achieve a proper seal. Thread the NPTF male branch into the mating female port by hand first, then wrench-tighten to avoid cross-threading. Verify the system is within the rated pressure and temperature limits before returning to service.
