The PARKER W169PLPNS-6-8 is a push-to-connect 90-degree male elbow tube fitting designed for tube-to-male NPT connections in pneumatic and fluid-transfer plumbing systems. Constructed from nickel-plated brass with a nitrile O-ring, it accepts 3/8-inch outside diameter tubing on both tube ports and connects to a 1/2-inch NPTF male thread. The fitting is rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The push-to-connect button is made from black flame-resistant material that meets the UL94 V-0 flame-resistance standard. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals install this type of fitting in compressed-air and fluid-handling lines.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic plumbing applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed in a tube run terminating at a male NPT port. The push-to-connect design allows tubing to be inserted and locked without threading or soldering, reducing installation time in tight spaces. Typical applications include compressed-air distribution, refrigeration ancillary lines, and general-purpose fluid-transfer systems operating within the rated pressure and temperature envelope.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect elbow fitting for systems using 3/8-inch OD tubing with 1/2-inch NPTF male port connections in pneumatic and general-purpose fluid-transfer plumbing.
Shut off and depressurize the system completely before installing or removing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tube ends are cut square and free of burrs before insertion to guarantee a proper seal. NPTF threads are self-sealing by design, but inspect thread engagement and confirm no leaks under pressure before returning the system to service. Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with applicable pneumatic or plumbing codes.
