The PARKER VS68NTA-8-4 is a brass compression tube connector designed to join tubing to a male NPT threaded port in fluid and pneumatic line applications. With a 1/4 inch NPTF thread and a compression-style end connection on the opposing side, this fitting creates a reliable, leak-resistant seal without the need for additional sealants on the compression end. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure and approved to D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, it is suited for demanding service environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fleet service professionals commonly install this fitting in brake line, fuel, and refrigeration tubing assemblies.
This connector is appropriate for use in both mobile and stationary fluid-handling systems where a compression-to-MNPT transition is required. Typical applications include automotive and commercial vehicle brake tubing, hydraulic control lines, and HVAC refrigerant or pneumatic pilot lines. The brass construction provides good corrosion resistance in moderate-exposure environments. Its compact form factor makes it practical in tight equipment bays and panel-mount installations where space is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for compression-to-MNPT connections in fluid and pneumatic systems requiring D.O.T. and SAE-compliant brass fittings.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with fluid or pneumatic line service. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant to the NPTF male threads per the applicable system specification; no sealant is required on the compression end. Torque the threaded connection per the system manufacturer guidance and verify for leaks before returning the system to service.
