The PARKER VS68NTA-3-1 is a brass compression tube connector designed for use in pneumatic and hydraulic tubing systems where a secure, leak-resistant connection between a compression fitting and a male NPT port is required. With a 1/16 inch thread size and NPTF thread standard, this connector accepts compression-style tube ends on one side and threads directly into a male NPT port on the other. It carries a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system technicians are the typical installers of this fitting in both mobile and stationary equipment applications.
This connector is suited for residential and commercial applications involving compressed air, hydraulic lines, and fuel systems that require DOT-rated components. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it appropriate for mobile equipment and vehicle brake and fuel line assemblies as well as stationary fluid transfer systems. The 0.0870 inch inside diameter supports small-bore tubing configurations common in instrumentation and control line work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for compression tube systems using 1/16 inch NPTF male NPT ports in DOT-compliant and SAE-rated fluid line assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compressed fluid or hydraulic line assembly. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing any existing fittings or installing this connector. Use appropriate thread sealant compatible with the media being conveyed and torque to the fitting manufacturer guidelines using a calibrated wrench — do not overtighten brass fittings. Verify system pressure does not exceed the 150 psi rated limit before returning to service.
