The PARKER VS68AB-6-6 is a brass compression tube connector designed to create a leak-tight joint between a compression tube end and a male NPT fitting. It carries a 3/8-18 NPTF thread and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 400 psi, with an inside diameter of 0.314 inches. Built to D.O.T. FMVSS571.106 and SAE J246 standards, this fitting is suited for fluid and pneumatic line work in demanding service environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic line installers work with this type of connector in both mobile and stationary system applications.
This connector is appropriate for use in brake, fuel, and hydraulic tubing systems where a compression-to-male NPT transition is required. The brass construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for fuel, air, and compatible fluid media. It is rated for service from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it viable across a wide range of ambient and fluid temperature conditions found in light vehicle, commercial equipment, and general plumbing installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for compression tube-to-NPT connections in systems requiring D.O.T. FMVSS571.106 and SAE J246 compliance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compression fitting assembly and NPT thread sealing practices. Depressurize and drain the line fully before removing or installing any fitting. Use appropriate thread sealant or tape on the NPTF male thread per system requirements, and do not overtighten compression nuts, as brass fittings can distort under excess torque. Verify pressure ratings are not exceeded after returning the system to service.
