The PARKER VS279NTA-4-2 is a male 45-degree compression elbow fitting machined from brass. It connects a compression tube end to a male NPTF threaded port, routing tubing at a 45-degree angle where straight inline connections are not practical. The fitting carries a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and is rated for service across a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. Thread size is 1/8 inch NPTF. This fitting is specified for fluid and pneumatic line assemblies and is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-systems mechanics working on hydraulic, pneumatic, or refrigerant-adjacent tubing runs.
This fitting is suited for light-duty to medium-duty tubing applications in residential and commercial equipment where a 45-degree directional change is needed at a threaded port. Common install scenarios include instrument air lines, fuel lines, and control-circuit tubing connections. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it appropriate for mobile equipment and automotive fluid-system applications as well as stationary HVAC and plumbing assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for compression tube-to-NPTF port connections requiring a 45-degree elbow at 1/8 inch thread size in plumbing, HVAC, and mobile fluid-system assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, HVAC technician, or fluid-systems mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the tubing circuit before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the ferrule before applying wrench torque to avoid cross-threading. Verify that the tubing outside diameter matches the fitting compression end before final assembly, and inspect the ferrule seat for damage before reuse.
