The PARKER VS269NTA-8-6 is a brass compression tube male elbow designed to connect a 1/2-inch outside diameter tube to a 3/8-inch male NPT threaded port at a 90-degree angle. The compression end grips the tubing mechanically, eliminating the need for soldering or flaring. The male NPT end threads directly into a female-threaded port on valves, manifolds, or equipment housings. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure and a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, this fitting is suited for brake, fuel, and fluid-line applications where DOT-compliance is required. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or fleet service technicians working on regulated fluid systems.
This fitting is used in hydraulic and pneumatic tubing systems, automotive brake and fuel lines, and industrial fluid transfer lines where a directional change is needed at a threaded port connection. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it appropriate for mobile equipment and on-highway vehicle brake system tubing as well as stationary fluid system applications. It ships as a single unit and is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for fluid and pneumatic tubing systems requiring a 1/2-inch OD tube to 3/8-inch male NPT transition at a 90-degree elbow, where DOT and SAE compliance is specified.
This fitting is typically installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or certified brake and fleet service technicians. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any compression fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely and is free of burrs before inserting into the compression end. Thread engagement on the NPTF male end should follow applicable SAE and NPTF torque and thread-engagement practices per the service documentation for the connected equipment.
