The PARKER VS269NTA-8-4 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect a 1/2 inch OD tube to a 1/4 inch male NPT port at a 90-degree angle. It provides a reliable, leak-resistant seal using a compression-style end connection on one side and an NPTF threaded end on the other. Rated to 150 psi maximum working pressure with a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding fluid and pneumatic line applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic line installers work with this style of fitting in both mobile and stationary system installations.
This fitting is suited for use in brake, fuel, and air line systems that require DOT compliance under FMVSS571.106. It meets SAE J1131 and SAE J246 standards, making it appropriate for automotive, commercial vehicle, and related fluid transfer systems. The male elbow configuration allows a direction change from a tube run to a threaded port without additional adapters, simplifying routing in tight spaces or panel-mounted component connections.
Designed for use in compression tube fitting systems requiring a 1/2 inch OD tube connection to a 1/4 inch MNPT port. Compliant with DOT, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 specifications for applicable brake and fluid line assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compression fittings and NPT thread sealing practices. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant to the NPTF male threads; do not over-tighten, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque. Compression end connections require proper tube preparation including a clean, square cut and no burrs to achieve a reliable seal.
