The PARKER VS269NTA-4-2 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect a 1/4-inch OD compression tube to a 1/8-inch male NPTF threaded port at a 90-degree angle. It carries a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and is rated for temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, making it well-suited for demanding fluid and pneumatic line installations. Certified to D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246, this fitting meets recognized industry standards for tubing connections in vehicular and industrial applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid power technicians routinely install this type of compression elbow when routing small-diameter tubing into threaded ports with a directional change.
This fitting is used in applications requiring a leak-tight transition from compression tubing to a male pipe thread at a right angle. Typical install scenarios include brake, fuel, and air line assemblies in commercial vehicles, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic control lines in HVAC and industrial equipment. The compression end accepts 1/4-inch OD tubing without soldering or flaring, while the NPTF male thread end provides a reliable tapered thread seal into a female-ported component.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 1/4-inch OD tubing and 1/8-inch NPTF female-ported components in vehicular, pneumatic, and fluid line systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compression fittings and pipe thread connections. Depressurize and drain the system completely before disassembly or fitting installation. The NPTF male thread end typically does not require thread sealant tape due to its tapered interference fit, but follow applicable system specifications. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as excessive force can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
