The PARKER VS269NTA-10-8 is a brass compression-to-male NPT elbow fitting designed to connect a 5/8 inch outside diameter tube to a 1/2 inch male NPTF threaded port at a 90-degree angle. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. These fittings are used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer lines where a reliable, leak-resistant compression connection is required. Licensed technicians and mechanics install this fitting in brake, fuel, and fluid system plumbing where DOT compliance is mandatory.
The VS269NTA-10-8 is suited for mobile equipment, commercial vehicle brake systems, and industrial fluid lines requiring DOT-compliant fittings. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it appropriate for automotive and truck brake tubing applications as well as general fluid system use. The compression end accepts 5/8 inch OD tubing, and the male NPTF thread provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without the need for additional sealant in most configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting replacement for fluid and brake line systems using 5/8 inch OD tubing with a 1/2 inch MNPT port connection, where DOT and SAE compliance is required.
Installation is typically performed by licensed mechanics or fluid system technicians. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Use appropriate tube cutting and deburring tools to ensure a clean, square tube end before seating the compression sleeve. Torque the compression nut to the fitting body per standard shop practice and verify for leaks before returning the system to service.
