The PARKER vr01 l3 00 46 is a manual, full-bore ball valve engineered for integration into Transair aluminum pipe compressed air systems. Built with a treated ductile iron body and PTFE seals and seat, this 4-inch flanged valve provides reliable shutoff and flow control in industrial compressed air, vacuum, and inert gas distribution networks. It handles a maximum operating pressure of 232 psi at temperatures from -4 degrees F to 113 degrees F, with pressure-temperature derating at elevated ranges. The bidirectional, two-way design allows straightforward installation in either flow direction. At 40.78 pounds, this is a full-size industrial valve intended for permanent installation by qualified pipefitters or mechanical contractors.
This valve is designed for in-plant pneumatic applications in general industrial environments. It is suited for compressed air mains, compressor outlet isolation, dryer bypass points, storage tank isolation, and drop-line shutoff service. Strategically placed valves of this type allow technicians to isolate sections of a distribution system for routine maintenance, pressure testing, or layout reconfiguration without taking the entire system offline. The flanged connection on both ends makes it compatible with Transair flange-and-bolt connection technology at the 4-inch pipe outside diameter.
Designed for use with the Parker Transair aluminum pipe system at 4-inch pipe outside diameter (100 mm) using flange-and-bolt connection technology. Suitable for compressed air, vacuum, and inert gas service within the Transair distribution system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or mechanical contractor familiar with compressed air distribution systems. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air system before installing or servicing any valve. Flange connections must be properly aligned and fastened according to the Transair installation manual; consult that document for torque and assembly sequences specific to this connection type. Verify operating pressure and temperature conditions do not exceed the rated limits for the installed pipe size and service temperature range.
