The PARKER VHN8-8M is a straight male pipe thread (MPT) fitting designed for hydraulic hose assemblies in industrial and mobile equipment applications. Machined from steel with a 1/2-inch NPT threaded connection, this Series H fitting handles working pressures up to 4,000 psi. The threaded design provides a reliable, leak-resistant connection when properly installed and torqued to specification. At 2.46 inches in overall length and 0.32 pounds, the VHN8-8M is a compact, heavy-duty fitting suited for tight routing in hydraulic circuits. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and fluid-power technicians will find this fitting a standard component in high-pressure hydraulic line construction and repair.
The VHN8-8M fits industrial hydraulic lines, mobile equipment hydraulic systems, and water and coolant lines rated to 4,000 psi working pressure. Its straight body geometry makes it appropriate for inline terminations where the hose and port are coaxially aligned. The 1/2-inch hose size and 1/2-inch NPT thread size make it a commonly specified fitting in mid-range hydraulic circuits found in construction, agricultural, and industrial machinery. It is sold individually and is compatible with Parker Series H hydraulic hose assemblies.
Designed for use with industrial hydraulic lines, mobile equipment hydraulic systems, and water and coolant lines. Compatible with Parker Series H hydraulic hose assemblies using 1/2-inch hose and 1/2-inch NPT ported connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified fluid-power technician or pipefitter familiar with hydraulic system service. Depressurize and bleed the hydraulic circuit completely before disconnecting or installing any fittings. NPT threaded connections require thread sealant or PTFE tape applied per the system manufacturer and applicable fluid-power standards. Inspect threads for damage before installation and do not overtighten, as NPT threads seal on the taper and can crack fittings or ports if excessive force is applied.
