The PARKER V401P-2-2 is a male pipe to male pipe drain cock shutoff valve designed for low-pressure fluid control and drainage applications. Built with a brass body, this compact valve uses a 1/8-27 NPTF thread on both ends and is rated for up to 30 psi working pressure. Its small form factor and standard NPT fittings make it a practical choice for plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial systems where a reliable manual drain or bleed point is needed. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians commonly specify this valve on condensate lines, compressed air systems, and small water circuits requiring a serviceable shutoff.
This drain cock is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a 1/8-inch male pipe connection is required. Typical applications include drain points on boilers, air compressors, water heaters, and HVAC condensate or cooling systems. The brass construction provides corrosion resistance in wet service environments. Its minimum working temperature of 32 degrees F makes it appropriate for interior or protected installations where freeze protection is maintained by the surrounding system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or add-on drain cock for plumbing and HVAC systems using 1/8-inch NPTF male pipe connections rated at or below 30 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and IPC or IFGC guidelines. Shut off system pressure and relieve any residual pressure before removing or installing this valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape appropriate for the service fluid on the NPTF threads before installation. Do not exceed the 30 psi maximum rated working pressure.
