The PARKER T19R20A is a string-wound polypropylene cotton cartridge filter designed for residential and light commercial plumbing filtration applications. Measuring 20 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter, this filter delivers a 10-micron rating to capture sediment, sand, rust particles, and other particulates from water supply lines. The string-wound construction provides graduated density from the outer surface to the inner core, which improves dirt-holding capacity and extends service intervals. A polypropylene plastic core supports the filter media under flow pressure. This filter is installed by licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians in standard filter housings that accept 20-inch cartridges.
This cartridge is suited for whole-house sediment prefiltration, point-of-entry water treatment systems, and inline filtration ahead of softeners, reverse osmosis units, or other water treatment equipment. It performs well in residential main supply lines and light commercial settings where sediment loads are moderate. The 10-micron rating makes it an effective first-stage filter in multi-stage water treatment configurations. Maximum working temperature is rated at 120 degrees F, making it appropriate for cold and ambient-temperature water service lines. Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 20-inch plumbing filter housings that accept string-wound polypropylene cartridges with a 2.5-inch outside diameter.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing the filter housing. Inspect housing O-rings for wear and replace if necessary before seating the new cartridge. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F.
