The PARKER T19R10A is a string-wound polypropylene cotton cartridge filter designed for residential and light commercial plumbing filtration applications. It measures 10 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter and delivers a 10-micron filtration rating, making it effective at capturing sediment, dirt, sand, and rust particles from supply lines. The core is constructed from polypropylene plastic for rigidity and chemical resistance. This filter is installed by licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians as a primary or pre-filter stage in point-of-entry or point-of-use water filtration systems.
The T19R10A fits standard 10-inch filter housings common in residential potable water systems, well water applications, and light commercial plumbing setups. The string-wound construction provides graduated density filtration, trapping larger particles near the outer wrap and progressively finer particles toward the core. This design helps extend service life between changeouts. It is rated for a maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F, making it suitable for cold and cool water service lines. The polypropylene cotton material is rated non-FDA, so it should not be used in food-grade or direct potable water contact applications where FDA compliance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard 10-inch string-wound cartridge filter housings used in residential and light commercial plumbing filtration systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure completely before opening the filter housing to replace the cartridge. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or damage during each cartridge change and replace as needed to prevent leaks. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F on the supply line serving this filter.
