The PARKER S19R30A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. Built with a polyester string-wound construction over a polypropylene plastic core, it provides 10-micron particulate removal in standard filter housing systems. The unit measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 30 inches in length, fitting a wide range of drop-in filter housings used in commercial and residential plumbing lines. Materials carry FDA-grade ratings, making this filter appropriate for potable water and food-service-adjacent systems. Plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers. Maximum working temperature is 120 degrees F.
This filter is suited for sediment reduction in plumbing supply lines, pre-filtration ahead of water softeners or reverse osmosis systems, and general particulate control in light commercial or residential water treatment setups. The 10-micron rating targets fine sediment, silt, and rust particles. The 30-inch length provides extended surface area compared to standard 10-inch and 20-inch cartridges, reducing change-out frequency in higher-flow or higher-sediment environments. It installs in compatible big-blue or equivalent large-format cartridge housings that accept 2.5-inch OD, 30-inch cartridges.
Designed as a drop-in replacement for standard 2.5-inch OD by 30-inch string-wound cartridge filter housings used in residential and light commercial plumbing filtration systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or water treatment technicians. Shut off the upstream water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing o-ring for wear and replace if needed before seating the new cartridge. Follow local plumbing codes, including applicable IPC requirements, when servicing potable water filtration equipment.
