The PARKER PT-00871 is a flareless bite-type tube 90 degree elbow fitting designed for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer systems. The bite-type design uses a ferrule that bites into the tube wall during assembly, creating a secure, leak-resistant connection without requiring tube flaring. This fitting accepts a 4 mm outside diameter tube on the tube port and connects to a 1/8 BSPT threaded port. It is typically installed by industrial maintenance technicians, HVAC/R service professionals, and fluid system assemblers working with metric tubing in compact or tight-clearance installations.
This fitting is suited for applications where a 90 degree direction change is needed in a tubing run. Common use cases include instrumentation lines, refrigeration pilot lines, pneumatic control circuits, and hydraulic sensing circuits. The small tube OD and BSPT thread make it a natural fit for metric-spec equipment of European or Asian origin. The compact size allows installation in space-constrained panel or machine environments where straight fittings are not practical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid transfer systems using 4 mm outside diameter metric tubing and 1/8 BSPT threaded ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with bite-type flareless fittings and BSPT thread standards. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any fittings. When assembling a bite-type fitting for the first time, follow the manufacturer-specified number of turns past hand-tight to properly seat the ferrule. Do not over-tighten; doing so can damage the ferrule or tube, resulting in leaks or fitting failure.
