The PARKER PT-00577 is a flareless bite-type tube male connector designed for secure, leak-resistant tube-to-pipe connections in fluid and pneumatic systems. It accepts an 8 mm outside diameter tube and threads into a 1/4 inch NPT female port. The bite-type design uses a ferrule that bites into the tube wall on assembly, eliminating the need for a separate flaring operation. This connector is used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation lines where a reliable metal-to-metal seal is required. Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters, HVAC technicians, or industrial mechanics working on pressurized fluid or gas distribution systems.
This connector is suited for use in both light industrial and commercial applications where tube-to-threaded-pipe transitions are needed. It fits systems using 8 mm OD tubing routed to NPT-threaded valve bodies, manifolds, or instrumentation ports. The 1/4 inch NPT thread is a standard size found across a wide range of control valves, pressure gauges, and inline components. Typical install scenarios include refrigeration piping, compressed air distribution, hydraulic control circuits, and instrumentation tubing runs. Each package contains 5 connectors.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 8 mm OD flareless tube systems terminating at 1/4 inch NPT female ports across hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation applications.
Shut down and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service fluid to the NPT threads before assembly. Hand-tighten the connector to seat the NPT threads, then wrench-tighten per standard trade practice without over-torquing, which can damage the ferrule seat. This type of fitting should be installed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with pressurized fluid or gas system standards.
