The PARKER PT-00288 is a steel flared tube bulkhead adapter designed to pass a tube line through a panel or bulkhead while maintaining a sealed, high-pressure connection. It features a 37-degree flare seat on the tube side and a National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) thread on the opposite end, providing a dual-seal connection that meets SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards. Rated to 6000 psi maximum working pressure and 500 degrees F maximum working temperature, this fitting is built for demanding hydraulic and fluid power applications. It accepts 1/2 inch tube OD and uses a 3/8-18 thread size. Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters, hydraulic technicians, and plumbing mechanics.
This fitting is suited for use in hydraulic systems, fuel lines, and high-pressure fluid circuits where a tube must pass through a structural panel or enclosure wall. It is commonly found in industrial machinery, mobile hydraulic equipment, and process piping installations. The flare-by-NPTF end configuration allows direct connection to standard JIC flare tubing on one side and tapered pipe thread ports on the other, making it a practical transition fitting in mixed-connection systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for hydraulic and fluid power systems requiring a 1/2 inch OD tube bulkhead connection with a 3/8-18 NPTF port, conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 flare fitting standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or pipefitter. Depressurize and drain the affected fluid circuit completely before removing or installing any fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPTF threads per system fluid compatibility requirements. Torque the flare nut against the seat using proper JIC flare fitting procedure to avoid over-tightening or deforming the flare seat.
