The PARKER PT-00277 is a stainless steel flared tube male adapter designed to connect a 37-degree flared tube end to a male NPTF threaded port. With a 1/2 inch tube outside diameter and a 1/2-14 NPTF thread, this fitting provides a secure, leak-resistant joint in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 3,300 psi static and up to 6,000 psi dynamic, with an operating temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F. The stainless steel construction handles corrosive media and extreme thermal environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic technicians are the primary installers.
This adapter is suited for use in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and instrumentation tubing circuits where a flared tube must transition to a pipe-threaded port. The 37-degree JIC flare connection meets SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards, making it appropriate for both industrial and mobile hydraulic applications. The NPTF thread end provides a dry-seal connection without relying solely on thread sealant. Typical install scenarios include compressor manifolds, hydraulic control blocks, fuel distribution lines, and instrumentation panels in commercial and industrial environments.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch OD 37-degree flared tubing systems and 1/2-14 NPTF threaded ports in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and instrumentation applications conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and NPTF threads for damage before assembly; do not install a fitting with a compromised seating surface. Torque to the fitting manufacturer's published specifications for the connection size and material — do not rely on feel alone for NPTF dry-seal joints.
