The PARKER PT-00276 is a stainless steel flared tube male adapter designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid system connections. It features a 37-degree flare seat on the tube end and a 3/8-18 NPTF male thread on the port end, creating a Flare x NPTF configuration. This fitting is rated to 3,300 psi static working pressure and handles temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding industrial, HVAC, refrigeration, and process piping applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting when connecting flared tubing runs to threaded manifold ports or equipment connections.
This adapter is used in residential and commercial fluid systems where a 1/2 inch OD flared tube must transition to a 3/8-18 NPTF threaded port. Typical applications include hydraulic lines, fuel systems, compressed gas lines, and process tubing assemblies. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in wet, chemically active, or high-temperature environments. It is sold in a package quantity of two units per order.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch OD flared tubing and 3/8-18 NPTF threaded ports in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, or process fluid systems conforming to SAE J514, SAE 070102, or ISO 8434-2 flare fitting standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter, plumber, or qualified mechanical technician. De-pressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the tube end is properly flared to a 37-degree angle using a calibrated flaring tool before assembly; an improperly formed flare will not seal and may fail under pressure. NPTF threads are designed for metal-to-metal sealing but inspect threads for damage and follow applicable system codes, including ASME B31 piping standards, when torquing fittings into manifolds or equipment ports.
