The PARKER PT-00274 is a stainless steel flared tube male adapter designed to connect 37-degree flared tubing to NPTF-threaded ports in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer systems. With a 3/8 inch tube OD and a 3/8-18 NPTF thread, this fitting creates a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal at the flare interface. It handles working pressures up to 3300 psi static and is rated for temperatures from -425 degrees F to 1200 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding industrial and mobile fluid-power applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians are the typical installers.
This male adapter suits residential and commercial fluid-power systems where 37-degree SAE flare tube lines must terminate at an NPTF port. Typical install scenarios include hydraulic manifold connections, refrigeration and instrumentation tubing, and high-pressure pneumatic circuits. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive or high-temperature environments where brass or carbon-steel fittings are not acceptable. Sold in packages of 2 per unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/8 inch OD flared tubing systems using 3/8-18 NPTF ported components, conforming to SAE J514, SAE 070102, and ISO 8434-2 flare fitting standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, hydraulic technician, or licensed plumber familiar with flare-type tube fittings. Always depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the tube flare and fitting seat for nicks or surface defects before assembly, as flare fittings rely on metal-to-metal contact for sealing. Follow applicable industry codes and the equipment manufacturer's torque guidance for 37-degree flare connections.
