The PARKER PT-00270 is a stainless steel flared tube male adapter designed to connect 37-degree flared tubing to NPTF threaded ports in fluid and gas distribution systems. It features a 1/4 inch tube outside diameter, a 1/4-18 NPTF thread, and a 37-degree flare angle on the tube end. The adapter is rated for a maximum working pressure of 3,300 psi static and 6,000 psi dynamic, with an operating temperature range of -425 degrees F to 1,200 degrees F. The stainless steel construction makes it suitable for aggressive media, high-pressure lines, and environments where corrosion resistance is required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial mechanical contractors are the typical installers.
This adapter is used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and process piping systems where a flared tube must transition to a male NPTF threaded port. Common applications include high-pressure fluid lines, refrigeration and cryogenic systems, instrumentation tubing, and industrial process equipment. The wide temperature range supports both cryogenic service down to -425 degrees F and elevated-temperature service up to 1,200 degrees F, making it viable across a broad range of trade and industrial scenarios. Each package contains 2 pieces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4 inch OD 37-degree flared tubing with 1/4-18 NPTF ported connections, conforming to ISO 8434-2, SAE 070102, and SAE J514.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, plumber, or hydraulic systems technician. De-energize and depressurize the system fully before disconnecting or replacing any fitting. Inspect the flare seat and NPTF threads for damage before assembly; NPTF dry-seal threads rely on thread interference for sealing, so thread condition is critical. Follow applicable codes such as ASME B31.1 or B31.3 for pressure piping systems.
