The PARKER PT-00262 is a brass flared tube male adapter designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid system connections. It features a 37-degree flare end on one side and a 1/2-14 NPTF thread on the other, creating a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal suitable for demanding service environments. Rated to 6000 psi static and 3300 psi dynamic working pressure, this adapter handles the load requirements of industrial and mobile hydraulic circuits. The all-brass construction resists corrosion in oil, water, and many fluid media. Overall length is 1.79 inches. Sold in a package quantity of 5.
This fitting is used where a 1/2-inch OD flared tube line must transition to a 1/2-14 NPTF port or fitting. Typical applications include hydraulic power units, compressed air systems, fluid transfer lines, and equipment requiring reliable tube-to-pipe-thread connections. The NPTF thread engages a dry-seal joint, reducing dependence on thread sealants. Installation is common in industrial facilities, mobile equipment, and utility systems where high-cycle or high-pressure service is expected. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians are the typical installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring a 1/2-inch OD 37-degree flare tube connection to a 1/2-14 NPTF port, conforming to SAE J514, SAE 070102, and ISO 8434-2 standards.
Shut down and depressurize the hydraulic or fluid system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the flare seat and NPTF threads for damage before assembly. NPTF threads are designed for dry-seal engagement, but consult system specifications regarding use of thread sealant. Follow applicable IFGC, IPC, or equipment manufacturer torque and assembly guidelines; do not overtighten, as brass fittings are susceptible to thread damage.
