The PARKER PT-00259 is a brass flared tube male adapter designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid system connections. It features a 37-degree flare end on one side and a 3/8-18 NPTF male thread on the other, providing a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal at both connections. Rated for a maximum static working pressure of 6000 psi and a maximum dynamic working pressure of 3300 psi, this fitting is built for demanding service environments. The brass construction offers good corrosion resistance and machinability. Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with flared tube fitting assembly and NPT thread engagement. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing or installing any fittings. NPTF threads are designed to seal on the threads themselves; inspect threads for damage before assembly and do not over-torque, which can crack brass fittings. Verify the mating flare nut and tube are properly formed to 37 degrees before tightening to avoid leaks at the flare seat.
