The PARKER PT-00255 is a brass flared tube male adapter designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid system connections. It features a 37-degree flare seat on the tube end and a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread on the pipe end, forming a Flare x NPTF configuration. Rated to 6000 psi static working pressure and 3300 psi dynamic working pressure, this fitting is built for demanding service in industrial, HVAC, and fluid-power installations. Sold in packages of five, it is a standard stocking item for service trucks and shop inventory. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-power mechanics install this adapter to transition from a flared tube line to a tapered pipe thread port.
This fitting is used wherever a 1/4 inch OD flared tube must connect to a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread port. Typical applications include hydraulic control lines, refrigeration tubing connections, fuel systems, and instrumentation lines in both residential and light commercial settings. The 37-degree flare angle conforms to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards, making it a direct fit for SAE flare fittings already in service on equipment or manifolds that accept NPTF threaded ports.
Designed for use with 1/4 inch OD flared tubing and equipment ports threaded to 1/4-18 NPTF, conforming to SAE J514, SAE 070102, and ISO 8434-2 standards.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or fluid-power mechanics. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. The NPTF dry-seal thread is designed to seal on thread contact; however, follow your system manufacturer and applicable code guidance on the use of thread sealants in the specific media being conveyed. Do not overtighten — use a calibrated torque wrench and refer to SAE J514 assembly guidelines for flare fitting torque values appropriate to the tube OD and material.
