The PARKER PP8MES8 is a push-to-connect male swivel elbow tube fitting designed for tube-to-pipe connections in fluid handling systems. It accepts 1/2 inch OD tubing on the push-to-connect end and connects to 1/2 inch NPTF male threads on the pipe side. The swivel design allows the threaded end to rotate during installation, making it easier to align piping without twisting the tubing. Constructed from white polypropylene with an EPDM O-ring seal, this fitting is rated to 150 psi and suited for low-pressure water, air, and chemical service lines where corrosion resistance matters.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC condensate lines, refrigeration drain applications, and fluid transfer systems where a directional change from tube to threaded pipe is required. The 90-degree elbow configuration is a common choice when routing tubing around corners or transitioning from tubing runs to threaded port connections on equipment or manifolds. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance trades install this type of fitting as part of push-to-connect system assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for use with 1/2 inch OD tubing in systems using 1/2 inch NPTF threaded pipe ports.
Installation is performed by plumbing or HVAC technicians. Shut off the fluid supply and relieve system pressure before servicing any fitting. Insert tubing fully into the push-to-connect end until it seats against the internal stop; use the collet release collar to disconnect. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF threads before engaging the male end into the female port, and tighten to hand-tight plus a moderate additional turn. Do not over-torque polypropylene fittings.
