The PARKER PP8MES6 is a push-to-connect male swivel elbow tube fitting designed for fluid handling systems where a 90-degree directional change is required between tubing and a threaded port. Constructed from polypropylene with an EPDM O-ring seal, this fitting accepts 1/2-inch OD tubing and connects to a 3/8-inch NPTF male thread. The swivel design allows the elbow to rotate for easy alignment during installation without the need to rotate the tubing or mating component. Rated at 150 psi, it is suitable for low-pressure pneumatic and liquid applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system installers work with this type of fitting in both residential and light commercial settings.
This fitting is well suited for water treatment systems, RO (reverse osmosis) assemblies, pneumatic control lines, and similar tubing runs where push-to-connect speed and a swivel elbow configuration reduce installation time. The polypropylene body resists corrosion and many common chemicals, making it appropriate for potable water, chemical feed lines, and light-duty pneumatic circuits. It is typically installed where rigid copper or brass fittings are not required and where tool-free tube insertion is preferred.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for use with 1/2-inch OD tubing and 3/8-inch NPTF threaded ports in residential and light commercial fluid handling systems.
Installation is performed by plumbers or fluid system technicians following applicable IPC and system-specific guidelines. Ensure the mating threaded port and tubing are clean and free of debris before assembly. Apply thread sealant to the NPTF male threads as required by local code. To release tubing from the push-to-connect collet, depress the collet ring evenly while pulling the tubing straight out — do not twist the tubing under load.
