The PARKER PP6VME8-MG is a bi-directional manual ball valve in a male elbow configuration, designed for 1/2-inch pipe applications. It features a full-port design with MNPT x Push-To-Connect end connections, allowing inline flow control without restricting flow area. The polypropylene body and EPDM seals make it suitable for water and compatible fluid systems where corrosion resistance and food-safe compliance matter. A wedge-style handle provides positive shut-off indication. This valve is installed by licensed plumbers and qualified mechanical contractors in both residential and light commercial settings.
This valve is well suited for water distribution, filtration, and fluid handling systems where a compact elbow configuration saves space compared to a straight valve and a separate fitting. The NSF-51 and NSF-61 certifications make it appropriate for potable water and food-equipment plumbing applications. The push-to-connect outlet simplifies connections to 3/8-inch OD tubing, reducing installation time in tight spaces such as under-sink filtration assemblies, ice maker lines, and similar low-pressure plumbing circuits. It operates within a working pressure range up to 150 psi and is rated for temperatures starting at 35 degrees F.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation manual shutoff valve for 1/2-inch MNPT pipe connections with 3/8-inch OD push-to-connect tubing outlets in potable water and fluid handling systems meeting NSF-51 and NSF-61 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line fully before removing or installing this valve. Apply thread sealant to the MNPT threads per manufacturer guidelines before making up the threaded connection. Verify that tubing inserted into the push-to-connect port is cut cleanly and squarely to ensure a proper seal.
