The PARKER PP6CAP is a push-to-connect tube cap designed to seal the open end of a 3/8-inch OD tube without tools. Made from polypropylene, it is rated to 150 psi and offers a tan-colored, lightweight body suited for fluid and pneumatic line termination. Installation requires only pushing the tube into the fitting until it seats, creating a secure, leak-resistant seal. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance technicians commonly use these caps to isolate or terminate tubing runs during service or system modifications.
This tube cap is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and fluid handling applications where a clean, tool-free termination of a 3/8-inch OD tube is needed. It is well suited for capping unused ports on manifolds, temporarily sealing tubing during staged installations, or permanently terminating a tube run in a low-to-moderate pressure system. The polypropylene construction makes it compatible with many water and air service environments where metal fittings are not required.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for use with 3/8-inch OD tubing in plumbing, HVAC, and general fluid handling systems rated up to 150 psi.
Installation is performed by pushing the 3/8-inch OD tube squarely into the fitting until it seats against the internal stop. Depressurize and isolate the tubing line before installing or removing the cap. To release the tube, depress the collet ring while pulling the tube free. Verify the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely with no burrs before insertion to ensure a proper seal.
