The PARKER PN252-25 is a male pipe thread extended nipple fitting designed for hydraulic and fluid-transfer applications where a reliable threaded connection is required. Machined from brass and rated to 200 psi maximum working pressure, this straight fitting uses an NPTF thread form to provide a pressure-tight seal without additional sealant in many applications. The 1/4-inch hose size and 1/4-inch thread size make it a compact, single-piece connection point suited for moderate-pressure lines. It is part of the Parker Moldmate series and is non-valved, meaning flow is unrestricted when connected. Licensed plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and mold-cooling system technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is rated for use across a wide temperature range, from -20 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it compatible with both chilled and heated fluid circuits. Primary applications include die casting equipment and mold coolant lines, where consistent, leak-free connections are critical to process uptime. Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or licensed plumber familiar with NPTF threaded fittings and the relevant plumbing or fluid-power codes. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect threads for damage before assembly, and apply thread sealant only as required by the system design, as NPTF threads are engineered for dry-seal engagement. Do not overtighten, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque.
