The PARKER PN250-55 is a male pipe thread extended nipple fitting designed for hydraulic and fluid-transfer connections in industrial applications. Machined from brass, this straight NPTF fitting carries a 200 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from -20 degrees F to 400 degrees F. The 1/4 inch body diameter pairs with a 1/16 inch NPTF thread, making it a compact but capable connector for controlled-flow plumbing circuits. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians install this type of fitting as part of threaded assembly work on mold coolant and die casting fluid lines.
The PN250-55 belongs to the Parker Moldmate series, which is engineered specifically for die casting equipment and mold coolant lines. Its non-valved, straight configuration suits inline extensions where a standard nipple length is insufficient. The brass construction resists corrosion in water-based coolant circuits common in plastic injection molding and metal die casting operations. This fitting is sold individually and installs without special tooling beyond standard pipe wrenches and thread sealant appropriate for the service fluid.
Designed for use with die casting equipment and mold coolant lines as part of the Parker Moldmate series. Connects to standard 1/16 inch NPTF threaded ports.
Installation is performed by qualified pipefitters or industrial maintenance technicians. Depressurize and drain the fluid circuit fully before removing or installing any fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service fluid and temperature range before threading the fitting into place. Do not overtighten brass fittings; hand-snug plus a controlled turn with a pipe wrench is standard practice to avoid thread deformation.
